Getting to the island of Mljet is possible by a catamaran “Nona Ana“ from Dubrovnik, which docks in the port of Sobra, but during summer months in the port of Polače in the National park. There is also a ferry connection Prapratno – Sobra. The port of Prapratno is a 40-minutes-drive from Dubrovnik towards Split. It is situated on the peninsula of Pelješac, close to the well-known bay of Ston where oysters and mussels are grown. Little villages of Mali and Veliki Ston are an inevitable stop for a short break on your way to Mljet. The ride from Prapratno to Sobra on the island of Mljet is only 30 minutes long, often not enough to enjoy the beautiful sunset, swarm of dolphins swimming around and sailboats passing by. Once you step on one of the most wooded islands of the Adriatic, a 23 km drive awaits you, filled with beautiful sea views interrupted only by green shapes of Mljet’s vast woods.
